Held Monday Evening, May 19, 2008, Lighting The Way For Kids Scholarship Banquet at The Jim's Buffet Restaurant, Downtown Marianna, Florida, in Honor of the following Eight Scholarship Recipients:


Above, Mr. Daniel G. Sims, Left, Presents Certificate of Award to Scholarship Recipient, Horace Clayton Gay, of Cottondale High School. Horace Gay's Mother, Mary Gay, was in the audience. Principal of Cottondale High School is Mr. Don Wilson, and the Career Specialist is Mrs. Glenda Hartzog.

The following Officers and Members of the Combined Board of Lighting The Way For Kids Foundation, and Take Stock in Children Program Directors, Counselors, and Mentors have worked relentlessly to bring the elements together necessary to provide a successful, and unique program designed to keep kids in school, and out of trouble, and hope for a bright future for students at risk for dropping-out.
